UN warns on military AI risks

The United Nations has warned of the increasing risks associated with the use of artificial intelligence in the military sector, cautioning that AI technology could lead to the escalation of conflicts and a higher likelihood of unintended incidents. Dr. Robin Geiss, Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research, pointed out that these threats necessitate international regulatory measures to address technological developments and reduce the risks linked to the use of artificial intelligence in military conflicts.
