Oman and Britain bolster economic and defense ties
The British-Omani Society celebrated its fifty-year anniversary in London, where the UK Prime Minister attended the event and His Majesty Sultan was received. The efforts of Oman to reopen the Strait of Hormuz were praised. Additionally, relations between the Sultanate and Britain were strengthened in the fields of economic and defense partnership, marking a new chapter jointly inaugurated by His Highness Sayyid Zayyan and Prince William. On another note, police aviation rescued a citizen who had fallen in the Jebel Sahm mountains. Reports indicated that Oman ranked first among Arab countries in per capita fruit consumption, with forecasts of rain over Dhofar and warnings of reduced horizontal visibility.
