Oman-China Tech Pacts
Oman Lens and China’s Star Vision Aerospace signed two agreements in Beijing to develop and operate satellites, localize technology, and train Omani talent. The first agreement provides for a five-year program that will sponsor 30 Omanis to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees, train 1,000 specialists, and establish a space artificial intelligence lab. The second covers the development, launch, and operation of seven satellites in its first phase, as well as the establishment of an Omani center for satellite assembly, integration, and testing. A further phase will be considered based on the results of the first.
