The President of the Prisoners' Club stated that Israeli occupation forces fired rubber bullets at leader Marwan Barghouti inside his cell, in a dangerous escalation aimed at eliminating him. He added that Barghouti, along with other national leaders, has been subjected since the start of genocide campaigns to isolation and repeated torture, reflecting that prisons continue to be a scene of slow murder and abuse. He emphasized that these crimes are escalating amidst intensified international silence and the political immunity of the occupation, and that they form part of a systematic policy targeting the leadership of the prisoner movement within the framework of genocidal actions against the Palestinian people.
