Saudi Arabia Affirms Continued Support for Palestine

Saudi Arabia reiterated its continued support for Palestine politically, economically, and diplomatically during the donor group meeting in Brussels. It pointed out that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains extremely dire nine months after the ceasefire, with Israel maintaining control over 70% of the territory and imposing strict restrictions that hinder aid delivery and reconstruction. The kingdom also emphasized that settlement expansion and unilateral actions in the West Bank constitute a political crisis requiring a comprehensive solution, reaffirming the international community’s support for UNRWA and its commitment to working with partners to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital.
