Abraham Lincoln Seen in Unexpected State After Middle East Circulation
The American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln appeared rusted and damaged while docked at Laem Chabang port in Thailand, following a military deployment that lasted approximately 286 days in the Middle East, which included combat operations and confrontations with Iran. Rust was visible on large sections of the ship's hull, an expected result of prolonged exposure to saltwater and harsh marine conditions. Experts explained that removing the rust and addressing its effects could take around 30 days of maintenance. Currently, the ship's visit is limited to essential maintenance work, which is considered an important step to preserve its readiness and structural integrity.
