Increasing local gold rates
Today, Thursday, the local market saw gold prices rise again after they had fallen to their lowest levels in three weeks yesterday morning. The price of a gram of 21-karat gold, the most popular type, increased by 80 piastres to become 89.5 dinars for sale, with a purchase price of 85.60 dinars. Additionally, the selling prices for grams of 24- and 18-karat gold at jewelry stores were 103 and 79.50 dinars, respectively, aiming to compensate for the previous decline and meet market demand.
