Gaza Mothers Seek Clarity on Disappeared

The movement of the mothers of the missing in the Gaza Strip demands the disclosure of the fate of over 11,000 missing persons and emphasizes the importance of identifying the unknown bodies and accelerating the process of uncovering the whereabouts of the missing. It explains that the uncertainty increases the suffering of the families both psychologically and legally, especially for women whose husbands are missing, as they face social pressure and complex legal decisions. The movement calls on the international community and humanitarian organizations to intervene to ensure families' right to know the fate of their loved ones, urging the facilitation of legal procedures and the provision of DNA testing to identify the bodies. This comes amid ongoing lack of official information and the occupation's refusal to reveal the fate of the missing.
