Netanyahu's election preparations

Benjamin Netanyahu's electoral campaign revolves around the theme of unifying the right and strengthening its security image, as he seeks to ensure the cohesion of his right-wing camp ahead of the October 27 elections. He is pressuring small parties from the far-right to merge in order to prevent vote fragmentation, which could diminish his chances of winning. Some parties, notably Otzma Yehudit led by Itamar Ben Gvir and the Israel Our Home party founded by Ofer Winther, refuse to merge. Additionally, Netanyahu aims to demonstrate his strength in handling security issues amid rising violence in the West Bank, escalated military operations in Gaza, ongoing Iranian threats, and increasing regional tensions.
