A UN report states that Israeli forces forcibly displaced residents of three Palestinian refugee camps in the West Bank during January and February 2025, with their return still prohibited, reflecting a violation of international law. The forces destroyed hundreds of homes, damaged roads, cut off water and electricity, and prevented humanitarian aid from reaching Jenin, Nour Shams, and Tulkarm camps, forcing more than 33,000 Palestinians to flee. The report describes this as prolonged forced displacement and warns that it constitutes a war crime of ethnic cleansing against humanity, amid growing fears of ethnic cleansing. At the same time, the occupying forces have intensified their bombing and raids, resulting in the deaths of many civilians, including children and women, without any apparent threat, while restrictions on the return of displaced persons remain in place.
