Journalist Alaa Al-Reimaawi launched a social media campaign titled "Forgiveness for God's Sake," aimed at encouraging rights holders to forgive debtors and relinquish their financial claims. The goal is to ease the financial burdens on individuals and promote the values of social solidarity. Many participants in the initiative have either failed to repay their debts or voluntarily waived certain amounts for spiritual and humanitarian reasons, including interest-free loans and owed sums, all emphasizing that their primary motivation is for the sake of earning reward from God. The campaign focuses on encouraging compassion towards debtors and fostering a culture of forgiveness and generosity. It also documents stories of donors who chose to forgive their debts, regardless of the amounts involved, to strengthen the spirit of mutual support and mercy within the community.
