Gaza Kidnapping Used as Cover by Vegetables
A rare Israeli operational kidnapping carried out by a special unit from Shin Bet in the heart of Gaza resulted in the abduction of the Interior Security Official, Moein al-Arabid, from his area west of Gaza City. The operation came after two months of security preparations. The troops used a cover of vegetable stalls for relief aid and claimed that al-Arabid was a "treasure trove of intelligence," providing valuable information about weapons caches and infrastructure linked to Hamas. The operation led to the martyrdom of his wife, injuries among children and companions, and the arrest of al-Arabid. Extensive investigations are underway in Gaza into aiding networks, with ongoing inquiries into the nature of the information he provided and the significance of this Israeli security operation in destabilizing the enclave.
