Hamas Warns of Escalating Gaza Tensions
The spokesperson for the Hamas movement confirmed that the statements made by Israeli ministers regarding the continuation of plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip indicate that the occupation has not abandoned this goal and continues to promote it to serve its political and electoral interests. He clarified that these statements coincide with intensified military campaigns by the occupation, tightening of the siege, policies of starvation and dehydration, obstruction of reconstruction efforts, and the prevention of essential materials entering the health sector—aiming to impose a harsh humanitarian reality that pushes toward implementing displacement plans. He called for a unified Arab and Islamic movement to confront these schemes, which pose a direct threat to the Palestinian cause and the national security of the Arab and Islamic nations. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip suffer from widespread destruction and shortages of shelter materials, while the United Nations reports that 94% of the population is in need of aid, following the martyrdom of over 73,000 and injuries to 174,000 since the Israeli aggression began on October 8, 2023.
