Gaza sewage destruction affects desalination
The Ministries of Health and Environment in Israel have issued a ban on fishing in the southern waters of the country due to a severe marine pollution crisis considered to be one of the worst in decades. This is caused by the unprecedented proliferation of large amounts of seaweed, which has led to the clogging and complete shutdown of desalination plant filters. The destruction of sewage network infrastructure in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the influx of大量未经处理的硝酸盐到海洋，导致藻类迅速繁殖。 Israeli officials have warned that the crisis threatens to wipe out important agricultural crops and has caused a severe water shortage in areas such as Netzan, with serious implications for food security and farmers. There are international accusations against Israel for broad responsibility for the destruction of Gaza.
