CD Eldense, a second-division club in Spain, announced that Argentine star Lionel Messi has become the club's official owner. This is Messi's second experience as a major contributor to a Spanish club, and his first with a professional team, after previously owning UE Cornellà in the fifth division. The deal still requires approval from the Higher Sports Council, although financial details have not been disclosed. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the club’s history, which spans over 100 years.
