Settlers pursue workers near Huwara amidst gunfire
Several Palestinian workers from the town of Beit Kahl in southern Hebron were subjected to chasing and assault by settlers near the Huwara area east of Yatta, along with gunfire into the air and arrests so far. Video footage shows one worker restrained and lying on the ground after the attack. The assaults have resulted in serious and moderate injuries among the workers, in addition to the martyrdom of one worker and injuries to others from gunfire by Israeli occupation forces at the entrance of Bani Na’im. The southern Hebron area is witnessing an escalation in settler and occupation forces' attacks on workers, as part of a policy aimed at imposing new facts on the ground and reducing the presence of Palestinians in the region.
