Negev: Demolition in Umm Nmilah amid police escort
Israeli occupation forces stormed the Arab al-Ziyada neighborhood in the unrecognized village of Umm Namilah, north of Rahat in the Negev, this morning, accompanied by bulldozers and demolition vehicles. The operation comes as part of an ongoing escalation of demolition policies in unrecognized Arab villages, where residents face demolition orders and repeated intrusions without any master plans to allow for legal construction. Umm Namilah has been one of the areas that experienced repeated demolitions in recent years, accompanied by protests and arrests, amid a state of tension and anticipation among the residents.
