October 7th and the Palestinian Narrative
The Israeli escalation against Gaza is intensifying, with the toll of martyrs and injuries over the past 24 hours marking several violent incidents. These include the martyrdom of 8 people and numerous injuries in two airstrikes on Gaza and Khan Yunis, in addition to the killing of 4 individuals in Israeli shelling and shootings. There have also been additional casualties and injuries in ongoing airstrikes across various areas of the strip. This escalation comes within the context of increased military operations and rising tensions, amidst the continued deterioration of humanitarian conditions. For example, children with Down syndrome are suffering from limited rehabilitation opportunities inside tents that do not shield them from the scorching summer heat or cold winter. Voices of warning are growing louder against the continued escalation, with no visible horizon for its halt.
