The authorities in Gaza reported that the current war has resulted in the death of approximately 22,000 children, with over 21,976 children, including 1,125 infants, killed during military operations. Many others have been injured or missing. More than 650,000 children have been deprived of education, and hundreds of thousands face the imminent threat of death from hunger and malnutrition, with 164 deaths recorded due to starvation and malnutrition, and 25 children succumbing to cold. Additionally, children are suffering from injuries and amputations, with over 5,400 cases reported. More than 5,200 children require urgent medical evacuation outside the Gaza Strip, alongside hundreds of children with illnesses such as diabetes who are facing severe complications due to a lack of medications. International organizations are urging for swift intervention to halt the war and provide humanitarian aid amid the worsening health and living conditions of children in Gaza.
