Eight injured from gunfire in Gaza and Khan Yunis
Separate Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip resulted in the death of 8 people, including a pregnant woman, and injured 8 others in the cities of Gaza and Khan Yunis. Israeli forces targeted areas east of Gaza City and east of the Tuffah neighborhood, while ongoing clearing operations and military strikes continued, causing a new wave of displacement among residents near conflict zones. These operations are part of a broader Israeli military escalation aimed at strengthening control over certain areas, despite ongoing shelling and heightened tensions in the sector, despite international efforts to halt the escalation.
