Janet Mikhail on Education and Community
The interview with Janet Mikhail, the first woman to serve as the mayor of Ramallah, discussed her experience in leading the city and engaging in community work, as well as her educational background and the educational institutions she helped develop. She emphasized that the decline in values and current educational challenges, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, represent a crisis that requires joint efforts from families, schools, and the community. She also issued a call to strengthen collective solidarity with farmers subjected to settler assaults, declaring that serving the people and continuing work for the homeland are lifelong commitments that do not end with retirement.
