Beirut 1982: A Japanese Perspective on the Siege and Sabra and Shatila
The bloody military operations in the Gaza Strip take center stage, as Israel continues to bomb homes and open fire, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens, including martyrs and wounded across various areas. The attacks have involved airstrikes and extensive sabotage operations, with over 30 people so far martyred. This escalation by Israel is accompanied by warnings of a potential new assault on hospitals and healthcare facilities in the region. The fighting has persisted for more than five days since the onset of the aggression, and Palestinian families are facing dire humanitarian conditions, including sieges, dehydration among children, and displacements. The ongoing military escalation significantly threatens the lives of civilians.
