Settlers target Palestinian vehicles near Ramallah
In the northern areas of Ramallah, there has been an escalation in settler attacks. Settlers from the "Hilltop Youth" group set up a checkpoint on Palestinian roads near the Atirret settlement and attacked them with stones. During these assaults, one settler attempted to attack a Palestinian driver, who fled in his vehicle; the settler chased him down and struck him, injuring him. Following the incident, the occupation forces closed the entrances to Ramallah and imposed strict security measures. This escalation has been ongoing since the beginning of the year, during which settlers have carried out hundreds of attacks on Palestinians and their property, while Israeli forces continue to close roads and arrest Palestinians.
