UN Reports Rise in West Bank Settler Attacks
The article focused on the escalation of Israeli settlers' attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank, especially during the olive harvest season. It documented numerous cases of assaults on farmers, as well as the burning of vehicles and trees, in addition to injuries among the harvesters. The United Nations reported a significant increase in settler attacks during the season, warning of escalating violence and its potential transformation into a form of ethnic cleansing. Israeli sources also confirmed that isolation measures and violations against detained children continue amid rising tensions, compounded by Israeli airstrikes on Gaza which have resulted in hundreds of martyrs and wounded. The region is witnessing a rise in assaults, with local and international calls to protect the olive season and halt the violations amid concerns of a potential new military escalation.
