The Israeli military began an exercise on Sunday, conducted by its Search and Rescue Brigade in various areas, which will continue throughout the week. The exercise is intended to train forces to handle simultaneous emergencies on multiple fronts and to activate rescue and relief capabilities in coordination with emergency services. The military said the exercise was included in advance in its 2026 training plan and was not linked to any specific security alert. It comes amid broader efforts to increase readiness for possible escalation and a resumption of fighting on more than one front.
