Dozens of Haredi protesters blocked streets near the recruitment center at Tel Hashomer on Sunday morning, protesting the enlistment of Haredi young men in the Israeli army. Police declared the demonstration illegal and tried to disperse the protesters. The blocked streets included Yaakov Dori, Shlomo Hamelech and Levi Eshkol in Kiryat Ono. Protesters were expected to join a larger gathering at 1 p.m. The demonstration followed a similar protest on Thursday near Bnei Brak, where protesters and police officers were injured.
