Five Palestinian police officers and personnel were killed on Sunday when an Israeli drone targeted them as they carried out their duties in the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Gaza’s Interior Ministry mourned them, noting that the death toll among police since the ceasefire took effect last October had reached 75. It called on the international community to act to stop attacks on the force, which carries out civilian duties. The attack coincided with artillery shelling and heavy gunfire in areas south and east of Khan Younis.
