West Bank's 20-year high
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) documented 397 settler attacks in the West Bank during the first 26 days of October 2026—the highest monthly total since monitoring began in 2006. This figure does not include the final five days of the month. Between 20 and 26 October, 62 attacks targeting 49 Palestinian communities were recorded; 38 were linked to the olive harvest season. The report said that 57 Palestinians, including 9 children, were injured: 23 in settler attacks and 34 by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire or assaults.
