Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said delivery of the Russian Su-35 fighter jets purchased by Iran—and scheduled to enter service before the war—had been postponed until after the war ends. He said the procurement process and contract had been completed, and that the Defense Ministry had handled pilot training and organizational arrangements. He did not disclose the number of aircraft, the deal’s value or a delivery date. Unconfirmed reports, meanwhile, have put the number at between 16 and 48 fighters.
