Occupation forces arrested the young man Muhammad Hassan Salim Labad on Tuesday evening as he was returning to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, according to the Crossings and Borders Authority, which did not clarify the circumstances of his arrest. The arrest comes amid tight restrictions on movement through the crossing. Three people were arrested while returning last Thursday, and on October 20, a cancer patient and her daughter were arrested after returning from a medical trip to Egypt. Human rights organizations accuse the occupation of pursuing a policy of arbitrary detention against civilians returning to the Strip.
