Shroud Shortage in Gaza
Staff at the mortuary of Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis warn that their supply of burial shrouds is close to running out, making it harder to prepare the bodies of Palestinians for burial. Other morgues across the Gaza Strip face similar shortages amid restrictions on the entry of essential supplies and worsening humanitarian conditions. The shortage adds to the burden on bereaved families and workers, and threatens to make burial even more difficult unless sufficient, regular supplies arrive.
