Saudi Film at Hollywood
The Saudi film *A Matter of Life or Death* will screen at the Hollywood Arab Film Festival on November 8 at the Culver Theater in Los Angeles, followed by a conversation with Egyptian producer Mohamed Hefzy. In October, the Saudi Film Commission selected it to represent the Kingdom in the Best International Feature Film race at the 99th Academy Awards, scheduled for March 2027. Directed by Anas Batah, the film is set in Jeddah and follows Hayat, who fears she will die when she turns 30 because of a family curse, and her journey with Youssef, a cardiac surgeon, as they try to outsmart death.
