Bomb Alerts Spur Landings
Fifteen flights bound for European cities received bomb alerts on Thursday, prompting some planes to be rerouted and others to make emergency landings. Security was tightened, and fighter jets escorted some flights. All the planes involved landed safely, and Czech authorities found no explosives on the four aircraft that arrived in Prague. The alerts came on the third day of a similar wave of threats: around 10 aircraft received alerts on Tuesday, which were later found to be false.
