Syrian Aid to Saudi Forces
Damascus has provided Riyadh with military support by sending dozens of Syrian military personnel to advise and train Saudi units and Yemeni forces affiliated with the internationally recognized government as they face Houthi attacks. Sources said the mission is currently focused on training, while a Syrian diplomat ruled out talk of deploying troops. Washington warned that direct involvement could draw Syria into a wider regional conflict. The move comes amid closer defense ties between the two countries, including joint exercises and plans for further drills.
