Front mourns Asim al-Wali
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine mourned resistance fighter and former prisoner Asim Mahmoud al-Wali, one of the leading figures in the Syrian national resistance in the occupied Golan, who died on Saturday. It said he resisted the occupation clandestinely and spent a quarter of a century in Israeli prisons. He then continued his national activism, steadfast in his commitment to the Golan’s Syrian identity and its people’s right to return their land to Syria.
