Ministry urges limits on plastic bag use

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change called for reducing the use of plastic bags and protecting the environment and biodiversity, on the occasion of World Plastic Bag Reduction Day. It emphasized that plastic bags pose a threat to wildlife and marine life because they spread easily and cause suffocation and pollution to their surroundings. The ministry also highlighted the importance of collecting and disposing of plastic bags in designated containers. Additionally, it pointed out that environmental protection efforts require community cooperation to minimize their use and to take responsibility for keeping wild and marine areas clean.
