Lebanese President: Framework does not legitimize Israeli occupation
Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun affirmed that the "framework formula" with the Israeli entity aims to enable the Lebanese Army to gain control over all Lebanese territories, emphasizing that this formula does not legitimize the continued Israeli occupation of Lebanon. He added that the absence of a timetable for implementing the clauses is due to the fact that what was signed is a general framework addressing broad principles without detailed practicalities. The primary goal is to achieve Israeli withdrawal, return refugees and prisoners, and to highlight that the military option has failed. He also stressed that diplomacy should be given a chance.
