The Chinese National Space Administration announced that the "Tianwen-2" probe has reached a distance of 20 kilometers from the asteroid "2016 H03" after a journey of approximately 400 days, covering a billion kilometers. The mission aims to explore the asteroid and collect detailed data about its composition and internal structure. The probe has captured images and refined its position using visual navigation data, achieving its first direct observation of the asteroid. Scientific and corrective operations continue to support the mission's exploration. This mission is China's first attempt to collect samples from an asteroid as part of a ten-year plan.
