Katara Qatar Quran Recitation Award open for entries
The General Organization of the Cultural Village "Katara" has announced the opening of participation in the Katara Quran Recitation Competition for its tenth edition, under the slogan "Adornment the Quran with Your Voices," from today until September 30th. The aim of the competition is to discover talents in Quran recitation and tilawat, to present beautiful and precise voices according to Tajweed rules, and to honor distinguished reciters. A judging panel composed of six members, including specialists in Tajweed and maqamat, will oversee the contest. "Katara" will produce a recording for the first-place winner, where they will recite the entire Quran. The total prize pool amounts to 800,000 Qatari riyals, with the first place receiving 500,000 riyals, the second place 200,000, and the third place 100,000.
