Twelve countries, including France, the United Kingdom, and Canada, have taken measures to impose restrictions on the trade of goods with the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, in protest against acts of violence and settlement expansion. The countries affirmed that the Israeli government continues to expand the settlements, including the E1 project, which hinders the two-state solution, and called for a halt to the expansion and justice for the violence committed by settlers. They also expressed their opposition to any steps that would harm the prospects of achieving a two-state solution, reaffirming their commitment to negotiations.
