The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Qatar has launched an electronic system for services related to falcons and "CITES" permits. Since its launch in 2024 until September, more than 24,700 applications have been registered, representing a 104% increase in the number of applications compared to the previous year. The system focuses on issuing CITES import permits, renewing falcon transit documents, and transferring ownership, with approximately 67% of applications being processed on the same day. These measures aim to regulate the trade of endangered species in accordance with the CITES agreement, while improving service delivery and simplifying procedures for beneficiaries.
