Qatar Calendar: First day of Rabi' al-Thani next Saturday
It has been announced that the Qatari Calendar Authority's vision indicates that the beginning of the month of Rabi' al-Thani in the year 1448 AH will be on Saturday, September 12, 2026, based on precise astronomical calculations. The moon is expected to be born on Friday, September 11, at 6:28 a.m. Doha time, and it will set after sunset on the night of the sighting by about 6 minutes, with the sunset duration increasing moving westward. The lunar motion is the main factor in determining the start and end of Hijri months, while the Earth's movement governs the Gregorian calendar.
