Umm Salal restaurant closed for 7 days over unsanitary food prep
The restaurant in Al Optal has been temporarily closed for 7 days because it was preparing food under unhygienic conditions. This action is taken in accordance with the Food Hygiene Regulations Law No. 8 of 1990 and its amendments, as the inspection revealed a violation of food safety standards. The suspension of activities is based on the assessment of the responsible municipality director and aims to prevent the use of the facility during the closure period until the violations are corrected. The instructions include prohibiting the opening of the restaurant or carrying out any maintenance work during the closure, which shall not exceed 60 days, with criminal liability in case of non-compliance.
