The foreign ministers of Qatar and seven Arab and Islamic countries welcomed the United Kingdom's decision to ban the import of goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, calling for similar measures internationally to hold organizations and individuals involved in settlement activities accountable. They also affirmed that this decision aligns with international law and United Nations resolutions and aims to put an end to settlement activities that alter the geographic and demographic nature of the occupied land. They urged Israel to rescind settlement measures, emphasizing that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied territories, and that the only just and lasting solution is the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international law.
