The State of Qatar has affirmed that the dignity and rights of senior citizens always remain a priority, regardless of their age or health and cognitive conditions. It emphasized the importance of respecting their status and appreciating their contributions to society. The term "Elderly" has been replaced with "Senior Citizens" to reflect their esteemed position. Additionally, it has enacted legislation, such as Law No. (9) of 2022, which ensures their rights to healthcare and social services and empowers their participation in the community, drawing from the Constitution and Qatar National Vision 2030.
