Qatar Airways to add 138 planes in 5 years
Qatar Airways is heading toward rapid growth through fleet modernization and expansion, with plans to receive 138 new aircraft over the next five years. This includes modern aircraft such as the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-9, as well as 50 Airbus A321LR jets to serve secondary airports. The airline has also launched a strategic plan that encompasses improving customer service, developing Qatari staff and leadership, and equipping around 150 aircraft with Starlink internet service. Additionally, it has achieved a strong recovery in passenger traffic, reaching between 90% and 95% of last year's levels. At Hamad International Airport, daily passenger numbers have surpassed 140,000, and the network has expanded from 60 to 160 destinations, despite the challenges faced by the airline in the aviation sector and external circumstances.
