Qatar Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with its partners, Shell and Sonangol, to explore two offshore areas off the coast of Angola (Areas 8 and 22). The agreement stipulates that Qatar Energy will hold a 30% stake after securing the final government approvals, while Shell will hold 50%, and Sonangol 20%. This move aligns with the company's strategy to expand its exploration and production of oil and gas internationally. The agreement was signed in Luanda on the sidelines of the Angola Oil and Gas Conference.
