Gulf U17 Cup Draw Sets Qatar in Group One

Qatar is hosting the Under-17 Gulf Cup edition, which will take place from October 16 to November 4, featuring 10 teams— the largest in the tournament's history. The draw placed the host nation, Qatar, in Group A alongside the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, and China, while Group B includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen, and Egypt. The teams will compete in the group stage for two spots in the semi-finals, with the top two from each group qualifying. The tournament aims to enhance their readiness for upcoming international competitions, especially the 2026 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
