Umm Al-Jurathim Kindergarten Rehabilitation and Biodiversity
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Qatar organized an event to rehabilitate Umm Al Jorathim Garden, aiming to protect the natural vegetation cover and enhance biodiversity in the wild environment. The initiative involved planting approximately 500 native wild seedlings and scattering around 5,000 seeds of suitable plant species for this environment, with the goal of increasing vegetation density and supporting the natural regeneration of wild plants. These efforts are part of a national plan to protect biodiversity and restore natural habitats, contributing to combating land degradation and promoting environmental sustainability, with community and volunteer participation to raise environmental awareness. This initiative is also aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, aiming to achieve sustainable development and preserve natural resources for future generations.
