A Japanese study has revealed that the asteroid "Ryugu," from which a Japanese probe collected samples, is a remnant of a celestial body in the Solar System dating back more than 4.5653 billion years, roughly two years after the formation of the Solar System began. Analysis of the minerals in the samples indicates that the parent body of the asteroid formed before that date, through the disintegration of its original body. These findings, published in the journal "Science," are significant for understanding how celestial bodies in our Solar System form, complemented by a comparative study with samples from another asteroid provided by NASA.
